Job Purpose:
o The Learning and Development Officer will support our client to design, develop, and deliver training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
o The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting training sessions, evaluating learning outcomes, and ensuring continuous professional development of employees.
• Responsibilities:
o Develop and deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and courses.
o Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and consultations with management.
o Design instructional materials, including presentations, manuals, and e-learning content.
o Conduct training sessions using various methodologies (classroom, virtual, hands-on, etc.).
o Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance tracking.
o Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance training programs.
o Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of training with business goals.
o Maintain training records and generate reports on program outcomes.
o Provide coaching and mentoring support to employees as needed.
Person Specification:
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Trainer, Corporate Trainer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design and training methodologies.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in e-learning platforms, LMS software, and training tools.
• Ability to assess training needs and develop customized learning solutions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Skills:
• At least 3 years' experience in conducting and developing Employee training Programmes
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills.
Work Environment:
o This is a full-time position based in Kampala, Uganda.
o Occasional travel to branch offices, industry conferences.
