About Urban Greens
Urban Greens Ltd is an agritech business focused on making hydroponics & aquaponics accessible to urban growers. We believe in transforming urban landscapes by providing sustainable and healthier food sources. By promoting urban food production, we aim to generate quality jobs, income, and benefit the climate and environment. With a passionate team of 16 individuals, we are currently operating 2 demo farms in Kampala and support a network of urban growers. This year, we will expand our network of growers to 30 urban farming sites. We are therefore seeking a Fresh Produce Account Officer to spearhead market expansion for our fresh produce and fish production.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop a sales strategy and identify and prioritize target markets.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Develop and maintain offtake contracts with buyers.
• Manage accounts and build relationships with customers.
• Coordinate with production teams for steady supply.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Marketing, or related field.
• 3-5 years experience in account management, sales, or business development.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of aquaponics/hydroponics systems is a plus.
