Job Details:
An events company is looking for personnel in various fields and below are some of the available positions.
Applications are invited from qualified personnel to fill the following positions
STORES MANAGER
As Stores manager, one’s major role is to ensure company stores are in order and the management and security of company physical assets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Follow up on availability of items per the preset event idea.
• Must ensure all event properties are kept safe and in order.
• Must ensure that all items per preset event idea are loaded and offloaded appropriately from trucks to or from event sites.
• Must ensure the cleanliness of company property.
• Must follow up on all preset event properties before and after any event and must give accountability of each.
• Must have create an asset follow up records book.
• Ensure all required items are gotten in time, managed and handled carefully
• Must liaise with the Creative Director on items required for any preset event.
• Must ensure flexibility to do any other duty as assigned.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
A. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• An Advanced level of Education or its equivalent.
B. EXPERIENCE
• At least three (3) years practical experience in store management. Working in an events company is an advantage. A recommendation letter from a previous workplace and staying near Kampala and Jinja Cities would also be an added advantage.
C. AGE
• The applicant must be 21 - 32 years as at the close of the advert.
D. COMPETENCIES
(i) Technical Competencies
• Must be physically and mentally strong
• Must have good communication skills
• Must prove to be trustable and co-operative
• Work and Activity scheduling skills.
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems.
• Ability to prove interest in events organization.
• Must be good at research and implementation.
• Must be a good listener to instruction
• Must have skills in Coordinating and monitoring.
• Ability to use hand and power tools/equipment.
(ii) Behavioral Competencies
• Ability to have strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must show will to work and collaborate with people
• A good team lead player in diverse environments.
• Flexibility (ready to work beyond normal call of duty).
• Reliability with loyalty as a key factor.
• Precision and Attention to detail.
• Resilient in timely delivery of work
E. PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift, handle, and move fairly heavy tools and materials.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to withstand hours of work while standing, crouching or taking other rigorous positions.
