Job Purpose
The Manager Networks & Infrastructure is charged with managing, planning, designing, implementation, monitoring and maintenance for the Bank’s Local and Wide Area Networks with the aim of ensuring efficient and effective operational performance, data security, capacity, and network availability. The Resource shall be in charge of Managing the Bank’s Infrastructure including Servers, Storage and Network Equipment.
The Resource will provide high level technical support; supervise and train department staff; managing assigned projects; and providing leadership in the areas of technology usage.

Duties & Responsibilities
• To ensure the efficient and effective functioning and maintenance of the ICT network, including management of the Enterprise-wide network, maintenance of all network equipment in the bank and to ensure that the network is operating effectively.
• Administers systems and servers related to LAN and WAN (e.g. DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Domain, IP Subnetting, network security devices) and all network equipment such as firewall, routers, switches, etc. for ensuring availability of services to authorized users.
• Designs network infrastructure (physical and virtual) for the purpose of ensuring effective and efficient networking systems.
• Be responsible for supporting IT hardware and infrastructure including servers, network peripherals, Storage and Virtual Infrastructure.
• Perform periodical tests of the disaster recovery plan for all communication and network channels/services with results documented and reported accordingly.
• Provide support and strategic guidance on network and communication support.
• Administration of servers in terms of network related activities and network resources including network applications for the purpose of delivering services in compliance with established guidelines and/or objectives.
• Assist in preparing written materials (e.g. procedures, system level documentation, reports, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
• Recommend equipment, supplies and materials for the purpose of acquiring required items and completing jobs efficiently.
• Research trends, products, equipment, tests, etc. for the purpose of acquiring New Technology
• Assists in Training department staff (primarily within the technology area) for the purpose of ensuring their ability to use new and/or technology and software for enabling ease of communication.
• Execute network related change request for interdepartmental and bank wide projects and perform change monitoring.
• Proactively monitoring utilization of network and communication services to ensure compliance of all users and services, and provide periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) MIS reports


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Telecom Engineering or related
• CISCO Certification or Training is an added Advantage.
• At least four years’ experience in Managing IT Networks and Infrastructure
• Knowledge and experience in Linux Administration
• Knowledge and Experience in Virtual Environments
• Banking Experience will be an added Advantage
