Minimum Qualification:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding:
• An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in either Commerce (Accounting option) or Business Administration (Accounting option) or Business Studies (Accounting option) or Finance and Accounting or any other course with an accounting option.
• Possession of Professional Accounting Qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ACIS, CPE,

Minimum Working Experience:
Applicants should have a minimum of Six (6) years of work experience, with a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory position, in finance and accounting gained in a reputable organization

Key Competencies:
He/she should have the following Key competencies:
Having high accuracy and integrity, Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results, Computer proficiency in Excel/ MS Office – Word and PowerPoint, Written and spoken fluency in English is preferred, Able to work with minimum supervision and highly proactive team player.

Critical Work Functions For The Role:
• Coordinating and preparing annual business plans, capital expenditure, operating budget, and periodically revised estimates
• Preparing monthly revenue reconciliation reports for management
• Ensuring that all payments are recorded, authorized, and properly paid in accordance with the Institute’s policies
• Processing staff payroll and other payments in line with the Institute policies and procedures.
• Maintaining an updated register of the Institute’s fixed assets in line with the Institute’s financial manual
• Managing the financial accounting and reporting system in line with the set standards.
• Coordinating external audits and implementing the recommendations in line with the approved guidelines.
• Managing internal operational, system, and process audits of the institutes’ functions and outsourced operations
• Identifying and assessing Finance and Accounting process risks and implementing mitigation measures.
• Preparing and submitting statuary returns in line with the law i.e. Income Act, FMA, etc.
• Managing the performance and development of supervisees.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned
