Job Purpose
Grow the Bank’s High net worth segment through sales, service and retention of a specified portfolio and ensure portfolio quality in line with the Department’s targets and the bank policies. The Relationship manager High Net worth will assist bank customers in managing their accounts and finances and be responsible for building long-term relationships with clients and cross-selling them our products and services.
Key Result Areas
• Identify and meet high net worth customer needs through selling of the bank’s products and services.
• Retain existing clients through focused relationship management activities.
• Analyze financial requirements of Personal banking high net worth customers and match with banks products offerings.
• Develop opportunities to increase the sales production in the personal banking segment.
• Prepare, and review all required reports and KYC forms to ensure that all transactions are adhered to the bank’s policies and procedures.
• Build and manage client relationships to grow Housing Finance Bank share of wallet through customer engagements (calls, visits, written communications etc.)
• Initiate credit applications for assessment / review by completing the documentation (including financial analysis) and submitting to credit for approval in line with credit policies and procedures.
• Present loan proposals to the credit committees for decision making where necessary and give feedback to applicants in line with the lending policy and procedures of the Bank.
• Monitor and evaluate performance of the assigned loan portfolio in line with the Bank’s Credit risk management framework to ensure timely repayments of instalment and conduct regular financial analysis to identify early warning signs of default and recommend a plan of action.
• Prepare sales and productivity performance reports as shall be required from time to time detailing the performance progress.
• Liaise with Credit department to initiate and participate in the recovery actions for loans in default and written off loans in line with the Bank’s credit policy and procedures governing the recovery process.
• Handle customer queries and complaints and resolve them in a timely manner and escalate any unresolved queries in in line with the Customer Service Charter.
Financial Responsibility
• Responsible for the High-Net-worth sales business & financial targets as will be agreed using different parameters especially on customer numbers, Liabilities, Assets, and revenue growth
Person Specifications
Education & Training
• A Business degree in finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, management, or any relevant field.
• Possession of a Certified banking qualification or master’s degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage.
• Relevant Practical training in business growth in the financial services sector.
Skills & Experience
• Must have critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Banking or similar environment
• Must have a good understanding about consumer banking product features, pricing, benefits, positioning, design, and promotions.
• Advanced, computer literacy, numerical skills, and statistical skills.
• Interpersonal relationship skills, Assertive, “self-starter” personality that is energetic and a natural net worker.
• Team player, ability to work under pressure and in position to exercise excellent judgment.

• The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form in a professional manner is deemed essential.
• Ability to build functioning working relationships across organizational and cultural boundaries.
